What We Do
Research topics include: mechanisms of protein folding, protein dynamics and assembly, bio-organic chemistry, RNA biology, structural biology, molecular modeling, molecular pharmacology, mechanisms of epigenetic inheritance, drug discovery, developmental biology, DNA repair and recombination, protein translocation mechanisms, gene expression, neuroscience and membrane biology. Collaborations with colleagues in other basic science and clinical departments enrich the possibilities for translating discoveries in basic science to clinical applications in our hospital. And the recently initiated development of companion programs in RNA Therapeutics, Stem Cell Biology and Gene Therapy portend new opportunities in translational research for our faculty and students.
