Facilities

The Program in Bioinformatics and Integrative Biology occupies 7,000 square-feet on the 4th and 5th floors of the Albert Sherman Center (ASC). The ASC cutting edge design integrates research and teaching in an exciting collaborative environment.

Resources

The Program in Bioinformatics and Integrative Biology has three powerful 32-processor  servers for graphical analysis, programming development, and data sharing. In addition, UMMS is a partner with the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC). The MGHPCC has space, power, and cooling capacity to support 680 racks of computing and storage equipment, drawing up to 15MW of power.  High speed network connections to the facility are available via dark fiber, the Northern Crossroads, and Internet 2. The facility was awarded LEED Platinum status.
