Our team
Manuel Garber, PhD Manuel Garber directs the day-to-day operations of the bioinformatics core; he has extensive experience in the application and analysis of high throughput sequencing data and has pioneered methods for RNA-Seq and ChIP-seq analysis. The Garber Lab uses sequence data to study the evolution of non-coding elements of the mammalian genome. |

Alper Kucukural, PhD Alper designs and implements reusable, robust and production grade bioinformatics analysis pipelines and pipeline generation tools for processing next-generation sequencing data that support researchers in UMass Medical School. |
|
Artur Manukyan, PhD Post Doc Bioinformatics Core Artur's research interests are focused on implementing and designing machine learning algorithms for biomedical inference and data integration that lead to the development of software tools with reusable and robust data analysis pipelines. He is also interested in various informatics tools for developing these software platforms that help researchers discover crucial biomedical knowledge. |
|
Onur Yukselen, MSc Bioinformatician lll Bioinformatics Core Onur is interested in creating easy-to-use pipelines for processing next-generation sequencing data. He is currently developing user-friendly servers (e.g. https://dolphinnext.umassmed.edu) to create custom pipelines. He works closely with our clients and collaborators to understand their unique needs, and provides the effective solutions to support their projects. |
