UMMHC Multiple Sclerosis Center

Patients are seen in the UMass Memorial Multiple Sclerosis Center for evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing treatment of Multiple Sclerosis and other immune mediate diseases, including CNS Lupus, Neurosarcoidosis, Vasculitis, and Neuro-HIV infection. The Multiple Sclerosis Center is located in the heart of Central Massachusetts at the University Campus. We provide neurological diagnostic evaluations for new patients and for people who are seeking a second opinion.

Over the course of several years, our team of doctors has created a reputable Comprehensive Care center. We address many aspects of a patient’s illness and life well beyond the disease itself. We understand each patient may be suffering from a wide range of sensitive issues and evaluate individuals for depression and other disturbances of mood, sleep disorders, bladder/ bowel control. We also evaluate patients for assistive devices such as canes, wheel chairs, and scooters. A Pharmacy Liaison is based in the Clinic itself with expertise in medication side effects successfully securing insurance approval for your treatments and medications. We are committed to teaching patients and doctors about MS and developing and testing new treatments to help MS patients.Along with our clinical services, we are also actively involved in community education programs, as well as providing educational opportunities for medical students, residents and fellows.
