Welcome to the UMass Worcester Prevention Research Center

Since 2009, we have been a proud to be a member of the Prevention Research Center (PRC) network funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

As we strive toward the optimal health of communities, families as individuals, we actively promote health and prevent disease and disability through: real-world community engaged research, evidence-based practice, and education. With a focus on integrating our work into the Greater Worcester’s collaborative public health system, we also seek to be a research partner that addresses real-world challenges across Massachusetts, and a national model for research that connects academia, public health, community and health care systems.
