The Master of Science program at the UMass Chan Medical School, Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing is an advanced nursing practice specialty in Interprofessional Leadership.

The program provides the nurse a theoretical and conceptual foundation of leadership to navigate the complexities of the healthcare system within interprofessional clinical and non-clinical environments. The program emphasizes disciplinary understanding, knowledge, and practice through relationship building and inclusivity across stakeholders in creating a shared vision of health within communities, health care institutions and societal systems. Learners will obtain experience and develop skills required to lead and to address inequities in an integrated and cohesive response to optimize health, well-being and quality of life for patients, families and populations.

This program is for the Bachelor-prepared Registered Nurse or Post-Graduate RN with a BS in another field with established practice experience. You will expand your knowledge and skills to lead and influence health care delivery and health promotion within an interprofessional environment across various health and non-health care settings.

This is a Hybrid format on-campus & remote learning.
